Malva Index is made available solely for academic and non-commercial research purposes. Permitted uses include:
- Exploratory analysis of publicly available single-cell RNA-seq data
- Scientific publications and presentations with appropriate citation
- Educational activities within academic institutions
2. Prohibited Use
The following uses are expressly prohibited:
- Clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic applications of any kind
- Commercial use, resale, or incorporation into commercial products or services
- Systematic bulk download or automated scraping of results
- Any use that violates applicable laws or regulations
3. No Medical or Clinical Advice
Malva Index does not provide medical advice. Results are derived from publicly available research datasets and carry no clinical validation. They must not be used to guide patient care, treatment decisions, or any clinical activity. Users requiring clinical-grade genomic tools must use appropriately validated and certified platforms.
4. Data Sources and Attribution
Malva Index integrates data from public repositories including GEO, the Human Cell Atlas (HCA), SRA, and CNGB. Users are responsible for complying with the terms and licenses of the original data sources when publishing or sharing results derived through this tool.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
Malva Index is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The authors and maintainers make no guarantee that results are error-free or up to date.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the authors, contributors, or affiliated institutions be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use this tool, including but not limited to data loss, incorrect research conclusions, or clinical harm.

If you use Malva Index in published research, please cite the corresponding publication (details available in the documentation) and acknowledge the underlying data sources.
