Coverage Explorer¶
The Coverage Explorer inspects read coverage across the Malva database for a genomic region or a DNA sequence of interest. It answers questions such as "which samples cover this enhancer?" or "do these cells transcribe this stretch of DNA?".

Two ways to search¶
- Region, a genomic locus such as
chr1:1,000,000-2,000,000. Regions range from 48 base pairs to 10 megabases. - Sequence, a pasted DNA sequence of 48 base pairs to 1 megabase. Malva maps the sequence onto the genome for you.
What you can do¶
- Search a region or sequence and see which cell groups carry reads there.
- Read the coverage table, which shows, for every group, the coverage across the locus and the number of cells.
- Explore browser tracks with zoom, pan, and smoothing.
- Browse the matched metadata by publication, organ, or study.
Every search consumes one unit of your daily search quota.
